Flood Protection

The banks of the Danube River in Budapest have been reinforced with elevated embankments and flood walls to effectively mitigate flooding risks in this densely populated urban area. These flood protection measures have been strategically designed to withstand the varying water levels of the river, safeguarding both the city’s infrastructure and its residents from the frequent threat of river flooding.

The raised riverbanks serve as a key component of the city’s flood management system, providing crucial protection for low-lying areas, especially during periods of heavy rainfall or snowmelt. Floating Docks and Platforms
