Rainwater Harvesting

Water Demand (conservation) Management

Created at: 06 Dec 2019

Description

Rainwater is captured from the roof, collected, filtered and treated to potable water standards and pumped back up to storage tanks on the roof with a total capacity of 9kL. The harvested rainwater is used for all applications in the building including toilet flushing, showers and taps. Municipal water supply is only used as a back-up when the rainwater has been depleted. The tenants are connected to their energy and water usage, giving them a way to control their usage, compete and set targets and use the data for reporting purposes. Tenants pay for what they use because the billing of each tenant is automated.
