Constructed Wetland for filtering waste water of Bockholtz (approx 75 EP (I.e.) (1993)

Water Quality Monitoring and Improvement

Wetland for upgrading effluent WWTP

Created at: 10 Aug 2022

Description

Purifying wastewater of Bockholz village including campsite. The Boueklzerbaach flows next to the constructed wetland and receives the effluent of the wetland. The stream afterwards discharges into the Sûre downstream of camping Berkel. The wetland lies on an elevated field . The valley and the Bockholsserbaach next to the wetland function as a floodplain. This enables the wetland to function independent of the waterlevel in the stream.
