The La Nueva Supermarket , close to the Plaze Sugbu and Senior Citizen Park features a white roof. White roofs have a high albedo, the fraction of sunlight that is reflected. The reflection of sunlight lowers the temperature of a body, decreasing the heat island effect and the temperature in the building. In addition, this low temperature means that the material will have a longer lifetime than black/dark-grey roof materials.
